CICS certification is the world's first and oldest individual internal control professional certification. It was developed by the Certification Advisory Board of the Internal Control Institute to identify and define vocational competence in the areas of internal control and corporate governance. Occupational skills areas are defined by CBOK. The title of the Internal Control Expert won by the CICS certificate continues as long as the person provides the necessary knowledge and experience in the internal control profession.

To be CICS Certified, the following conditions must be met: • Training and / or experience o Five years experience in internal control design and / or evaluation. O Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Industrial Engineering and Balanced Degrees is accepted as 2 years, Master's Degree 3 years, PhD Degree 4 years experience. One of the conditions required to have a CICS Certificate is a certification exam. CICS candidates must demonstrate the level of knowledge defined by the CBOK in their internal control with a certification examination to be made. CICS Initial Application Fee: 300 USD The CICS initial application fee covers the acquisition of the certificate in case of sufficient application in exam and exam. The CICS Certification exams are held twice a month, one in Istanbul and one in Istanbul.

At the earliest one month after your acceptance of our Institute candidacy, you can take the exam for the date that is appropriate for you from the Certification Exam Schedule issued on the Entity website.

If you have 10 or more candidates who want to enter the test on the same date, you will be able to take the exam.

The CICS Certification exam is the main source of CBOK (Common Body of Knowledge). Existing CBOK includes eight skill criteria. The Global Internal Control Vocational Knowledge Base (CBOK) is a job description for CICS that is in place for first-class internal control expertise. The CICS Certification Board has defined the skills within the CBOK that enable internal control specialists to perform the task activities required to meet today's internal control needs.

In order to pass the exam successfully, the applicant must have answered 75% of the questions in the exam correctly. The test, which is conducted as a test, consists of questions from each skill field in the general framework mentioned above. For each exam, 96 questions to be completed in 75 minutes are selected.

The exam is conducted in Zimbabwe by ICIZ.

The withdrawal or revocation of a certification stems from the failure to comply with the certification policies and procedures defined by the Certification Board. The Board may revoke the certification for the following reasons: • Falsification of information in the initial application and / or CPE reporting form, • Failure to comply with the Code of Ethics, • Notification of continuing education credits required for certificate renewal, • No remuneration for certification renewal.

CICS is required to take 120 credit hours of Continuing Professional Training (CPE) or certificate renewal to maintain a certificate every 3 years.

The following are generally expected in the context of vocational training of certified professionals: • Participation in professional conferences to be aware of occupational activities and trends. • Participate in trainings to constantly update skills and competencies. • Training and development of information and skills to be shared with other professionals and the public. • Publication of information for dissemination of personal experiences, projects and research experiences. • Participation in the profession with active committee memberships or formal special interest groups.

CICP certification has been implemented by the ICI Certification Advisory Board to identify internal control practitioners who have gained significant practice experience in the profession. Professionals with CICP certification certify that they have a high level of expertise and skill in the areas of internal control and corporate governance. In order to obtain a CICP professional title, it is necessary to provide a reference letter showing the professional experience of the persons.

In order to be a CICP certified owner, the following conditions must be met: o Training and / or experience  12 years experience in internal control design and / or evaluation.  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering and Balanced Degrees is accepted for 4 years, Master's Degree for 5 years, PhD Degree for 8 years. 8 years of experience in internal control design and / or evaluation, 7 for master's degree graduates, and 4 years for doctoral degree graduates are considered adequate if the educational status is documented in the relevant areas.
